Social Psychologist, Visiting Professor at Westminster College in Pennsylvania
Dr. Richman is a social psychologist who studies the effects of being rejected, how relationships can change the self-concept and the effects this has on a person’s well-being. Currently, she is working with her students on a project studying how joining a sorority might impact women’s self-concepts. Dr. Richman is originally from the Cleveland area and earned her B.A. degree at Northwestern University (2010) and Master’s degree (2012) and Ph.D. (2014) at the University of Kentucky. She is currently doing research, teaching courses, and mentoring students at Westminster College.
